These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of all software, websites, and mobile applications developed and published by Katolikos (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including Daily Wisdom Devotional and any future Katolikos apps.
By downloading, installing, or using any Katolikos product, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use our products.
1. Overview
Katolikos creates offline-first, ad-free spiritual and educational mobile applications. Our apps are designed for personal inspiration, education, and prayer. They are not social networks or data-collection tools.
2. Payment and Licensing
A. Pay-Once Model
Our applications use a pay-once, lifetime access model.
You pay a single fee on the Google Play Store for access to the full version of the app. There are no recurring payments, subscriptions, or hidden charges.
B. Google Play Billing
All payments are processed exclusively by Google through the Google Play Store and are subject to Google’s own Payment Terms of Service.
Katolikos does not receive, store, or have access to your financial data.
C. Licence Grant
Upon payment, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
3. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
You agree to use Katolikos applications and websites only for lawful, personal use and in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of any app;
- modify, copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the app or its content;
- share, rent, lease, lend, resell, or sublicense the app or licence key;
- use the app or its content for any commercial or advertising purpose;
- interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the software or website;
- upload malicious code, attempt to bypass security, or disrupt normal operation.
Violation of these restrictions may result in termination of your licence and potential legal action under applicable copyright or computer misuse laws.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
All materials contained in our apps and website—including text, artwork, compilation design, software, layout, trademarks, and logos—are the property of Katolikos or their respective copyright owners.
- Quotations and Scripture texts used within the Daily Wisdom Devotional app are from public domain sources.
- All original compilations, interface design, reflections, prayers, and metadata are © Katolikos.
No content may be reproduced, adapted, or redistributed without prior written consent from Katolikos, except for brief quotations for non-commercial personal or academic use with attribution.
5. Privacy
Katolikos upholds a strict privacy-first philosophy.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle website data and how our apps adhere to a Zero Data Collection policy.

6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Katolikos provides all applications and services “as is” and “as available.”

- Katolikos and its contributors shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use or inability to use our apps or website, including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with any Katolikos app is to discontinue its use.
7. Updates and Maintenance
We may periodically release updates or improvements. These may include feature enhancements, bug fixes, or design adjustments.
Such updates are provided at our discretion and without any ongoing service obligation.
Older versions may cease to function properly if discontinued by Google or Android system updates.
8. Refunds
Refunds are handled entirely by Google Play under their refund policy.

Katolikos cannot process or approve refunds directly.
9. Termination
Your licence and access may be terminated immediately if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, you must uninstall all copies of the app and cease any further use of Katolikos materials.
10. External Links and Third Parties
Our website and apps may contain links to third-party websites or resources (such as partner ministries). These are provided for convenience only. Katolikos does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any content, policies, or practices of external sites.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising under or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Bulgaria.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our products, laws, or operational practices.
Updates will be posted on https://katolikos.com/terms with a new effective date. Continued use of our apps after such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
